The philosophy

Why meals?

Because breakfast makes the invitation easier.

Starting a "Bible study" can sound formal. Asking a few people to grab breakfast and open the Bible together doesn't. A meal gives people a simple reason to get together. Scripture and prayer give the meeting its purpose.

Meals appear throughout Jesus' ministry

Read the Gospels and you'll notice how often meals show up — with tax collectors, fishermen, Pharisees, and friends. Jesus taught, formed relationships, and spent ordinary time with people over food.

A meal makes the first yes easier

"Want to join my Bible study?" can feel intimidating. "Want to grab breakfast Thursday morning?" feels normal.

HNGRY uses that ordinary invitation to help create space for something much more meaningful.

Weekly meals add up

A single breakfast isn't a big expense. Do it every week with a few people and it becomes a real recurring cost.

HNGRY donors help remove that barrier so approved hosts can focus on the people they're discipling instead of worrying about who pays.

The meal is a tool, not the mission

HNGRY isn't a free-meal program.

Every reimbursement is connected to intentional time in Scripture with real people. The food makes gathering easier. Discipleship is the point.
