Terms of Service

Acceptance

By creating an account or using HNGRY, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use HNGRY.

Eligibility & account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • HNGRY is invite-only; you must be invited or approved.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password secure.
  • Every account requires a real, working mobile phone number that you control. HNGRY uses it to verify your identity and to match you to meals you attend.
  • By creating an account, you consent to receive a one-time verification text from HNGRY at the number you provide. This is a single transactional message and is separate from the optional ongoing SMS program described below.

Acceptable use

  • Do not submit false, misleading, or inflated receipts or reimbursement requests.
  • Do not list someone as an attendee without their permission.
  • Do not upload content that is unlawful, harassing, or violates someone else's rights.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt the service or access other users' data.

SMS messaging

HNGRY uses SMS for two distinct purposes:

  • One-time phone verification at signup. A single transactional text containing a verification code is sent to the number you provide so HNGRY can confirm you control it. This is covered by these Terms.
  • Optional ongoing transactional program. Recurring non-marketing texts for meal attendance confirmations, reimbursement-request status updates, and HNGRY reminders. This requires a separate, unchecked-by-default consent checkbox at signup and is governed by the SMS Consent page. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

HNGRY does not send promotional or marketing texts and does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers with third parties. Message and data rates may apply.

Content

You retain ownership of receipts, photos, and other content you submit. You grant HNGRY a limited license to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are used to abuse the service. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@hngry.org.

Disclaimer

HNGRY is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HNGRY and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
