For those who give

Put Kingdom resources behind Kingdom relationships

Some Christians have financial resources. Others have relational reach. HNGRY puts those funds behind Hosts with relational reach and gives supporters a window into what happens next.

Put Kingdom resources behind Hosts who already know the people they're reaching by name. Then see the studies, Scripture, stories, receipts, and multiplication your generosity helps make possible.

We need to stand firm on who Jesus is as believers. Jesus is the Son of God, creator of the universe. If we get that wrong, we get everything else wrong.

How we steward it

  • Every reimbursement requires an itemized receipt, capped at $15 per person.
  • Guests confirm they were actually there.
  • Hosts never handle anyone's gift. They submit itemized meal receipts, and nothing moves until an approver signs off.
  • An approver is a host who has been doing this a while. Their men and women started hosting studies of their own, and over time they earned approval capability. They confirm the study was a real, in-person, Scripture-centered gathering.
  • Every host is personally approved first, and signs HNGRY's foundational beliefs and behavior commitments before leading.
  • Many hosts give their reimbursement back so it funds another study.
  • Reimbursement between the same two individuals is capped at 52 weeks to encourage multiplication — hosts are expected to raise up new hosts rather than meet indefinitely with the same small group.
  • Donors, members, hosts, and approvers all see the same system. Studies, passages, attendance confirmations, receipts, and caps are visible in the platform, not summarized in a report later.

Read the standard every host signs: HNGRY host beliefs, behaviors, and approved study material.

$1,000 given funds about $1,616 in Bible study meals at the current give-back rate.

Hosts who complete a study can take their reimbursement or give it back. So far, 62% of reimbursements have been given back and put toward the next study. We encourage Hosts who need it to take the reimbursement and go make disciples. That is why HNGRY started. But as God blesses a person and their income grows, a good host naturally wants to give back, and that gift funds someone else's table.
