How HNGRY Works
The structure, trust, and discipleship philosophy behind HNGRY.
More than a platform
HNGRY exists to help people obey the Great Commission by making disciples through intentional relationships.
Meals are simply a tool. The goal is discipleship.
HNGRY provides structure, accountability, and encouragement for people who want to invest in others and help them follow Jesus.
A private network
HNGRY is intentionally designed as a private network. Access is provided through invitation and trusted relationships.
The goal is not rapid growth. The goal is healthy discipleship.
We believe relationships flourish when trust, accountability, and shared mission are present.
Three roles within HNGRY
As members participate in the community, additional responsibilities may become available over time.
Members
Every participant begins as a member. Members can:
- Participate in discipleship gatherings
- Connect with others
- Confirm attendance
- Build relationships
- Grow in discipleship
The foundation of HNGRY is simply showing up and investing in people.
Hosts
Hosts take responsibility for creating opportunities for discipleship. Hosts can:
- Schedule gatherings
- Coordinate meeting locations and times
- Invite participants
- Lead discipleship conversations
- Submit reimbursement documentation when eligible
Hosts help create spaces where discipleship can happen consistently.
Approvers
Approvers help steward resources responsibly. They review reimbursement requests and help ensure donor funds are being used as intended.
Their role exists to promote accountability, stewardship, and trust throughout the network.
Responsibility is earned
HNGRY does not view leadership as a title. We view leadership as demonstrated faithfulness.
As individuals consistently participate, invest in others, and demonstrate maturity, they may be invited into additional responsibilities.
- Roles are not purchased.
- Roles are not assigned automatically.
- Roles are earned through trust.
Built on trust
The strength of HNGRY does not come from technology. It comes from people.
Trust is built through:
- Consistency
- Service
- Humility
- Faithfulness
- Discipleship
The platform supports those relationships, but relationships come first.
Designed for multiplication
HNGRY exists to help believers make disciples who make disciples. Healthy discipleship should lead to more discipleship.
As people grow, they are encouraged to invest in others and help start new discipleship relationships.
The vision is simple: disciples making disciples. Again and again.
Stewarding Kingdom resources
HNGRY is funded by charitable donations from people who believe discipleship matters.
Because those funds have been entrusted to the ministry, stewardship matters. Review processes, eligibility guidelines, and accountability structures exist to maximize Kingdom impact and protect donor resources.
Every dollar should help create opportunities for genuine discipleship.
Why HNGRY exists
Most Christians attend church. Far fewer intentionally disciple others.
HNGRY exists to remove barriers, create structure, and help make discipleship practical.
- The mission is not technology.
- The mission is not reimbursement.
- The mission is not meals.
- The mission is helping people obey Jesus by making disciples.
- It is truly more blessed to give than to receive.
If you only receive teaching but never pour into someone else's spiritual development, you are only half alive.
Jesus said, "Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Yes, we follow Him. But we also fish for others with Him. That second part is where tremendous fulfillment and joy are found — and sadly, many Christians never experience it.
This is not a numbers game. It is a heart-filling opportunity. Jesus promises to be with us as we go. Why wouldn't you want Him with you?
Our vision
Imagine thousands of believers intentionally investing in others.
Imagine discipleship becoming normal again.
Imagine every meal becoming an opportunity for encouragement, mentorship, accountability, and spiritual growth.
That is the vision behind HNGRY.
The world is HNGRY for the truth.
And truth is a person: Jesus Christ.
